People are crystallizing more and more on extreme positions while projecting all the evils of the world onto the opposing side. Whether through political opinions, geopolitical events, societal trends, socio-cultural trends… These phenomena are only the surface and the appearance, revealing deep causes invisible to any other.
Several subtle reasons therefore for these phenomena which are not new in the history of the world but which seem unprecedented both in their magnitude, their diversity and their overall intensities:
– the end of a cycle is a precipitate of the entire cycle. All the good is accomplished, and all the bad is revealed so that it can potentially be released. Pandora’s box opens and releases all the unsaid, memories and repressed shadows of the cycle. It is a situation that is both individual and collective, intimate and universal. Everyone finds themselves facing their shadows and can finally perceive them. The whole path of consciousness is not to enter into struggle or want to eliminate them, but to begin a path of consciousness to finally be able to free oneself from them.
– The path to liberation involves an aggravation of the phenomenon before its release. It is a metaphysical phenomenon of resistance to change to provoke a burst of struggle and an intensification of frequencies like the last spasms before the disappearance of the old and the manifestation of the New. This sudden resistance is a harbinger of a paradigm shift to come, but takes the form of fanaticism and extremism, a crystallization of opinions.
– Temporal power uses “divide and rule” techniques to prevent people from uniting in peace. Incessant conflicts weaken people’s resistance and strengthen governance systems.
– There is a projection of his unconscious onto certain people who become incarnations of his depths. This phenomenon of projection is then perceived as a means of connection to one’s soul, a path of self-discovery, both positive and negative in the case of oppositions and dualities. The projection of our psychic energies must be reintegrated into oneself to realize their full potential in the service of our soul path.
But there are also people who do not identify with any camp or group, movement, ideology… According to Carl Jung, these people retain the tension of opposites. Is it possible for us not to let ourselves be influenced by the metaphysical causes of an end of cycle, by resistance to change, by the play of power, by our own external projections of our inner shadows? Is it possible not to identify with any camp, without any preference or expectation of results? Is it possible to stay beyond hope or fear, attraction or repulsion which are only two sides of the same coin? Is it possible to face one’s shadows and memories in a work of conscience at the heart of one’s interiority without falling into the trap of exteriorization?
Because this path of consciousness is the only way that can save us from catastrophe, and stop contemplating the world as totally external to ourselves. It is a demanding and difficult path, but saving and powerful. Holding oppositions does not mean remaining neutral or indifferent. This is not pacifism or heroism. It is a path of conscious suffering leading to the essence of being, beyond dualities. This inner unity is the vertical path to the divine, leading to the union of opposites and the restoration of peace.
